Purpose and editorial independence
These guidelines describe the minimum standards for content and link requests coordinated by ProPosting. Independent publishers may apply stricter or additional rules and retain final approval over their websites.
Content quality requirements
- Content must be original or properly licensed, readable and relevant to the intended audience.
- Titles and introductions must accurately represent the article.
- Factual claims should be supportable; sources should be cited where appropriate.
- Content must not impersonate another person, fabricate credentials or conceal a material conflict.
- Destination pages must be live, secure, usable and consistent with the surrounding claim.
- Images, quotations and other protected material must be used lawfully.
Links and anchors
Links must have a reasonable contextual purpose. Anchors should read naturally and should not mislead readers about the destination. Publishers may modify anchors, surrounding text, link attributes, disclosures or placement. Excessive exact-match anchors, irrelevant commercial links and redirects to a materially different destination may be rejected.
Restricted or prohibited requests
We may refuse material involving illegal goods or services, fraud, phishing, malware, hacking, stolen data, impersonation, copyright infringement, hate or exploitation, unlicensed financial activity, deceptive investment or earnings claims, counterfeit products, fabricated reviews, academic cheating, or instructions intended to cause harm.
Medical, legal, financial, gambling, adult, cryptocurrency, CBD, weapons, payday lending and other regulated or “grey” subjects receive enhanced review and may be prohibited by the publisher. A “Grey Niche Accepted: Yes” directory field means only that selected requests may be considered; it does not guarantee acceptance.
Editorial changes and disclosure
A publisher may edit the title, article, anchor, URL, images, formatting, disclosure, publication date or link attribute. If a requested change materially alters the agreed commercial scope, we will seek client confirmation when reasonably possible. Publishers remain responsible for disclosures required on their own properties.
Revisions
Revision entitlement depends on the confirmed order. Revisions normally address compliance with the approved brief or documented publisher feedback. A new topic, destination, campaign objective or extensive rewrite may require a revised quotation.
Post-publication review
We verify the available live page at delivery. Later publisher edits, removals, outages, domain changes, deindexing or policy changes are outside our direct control and are handled according to the written order, Refund Policy and Publisher Disclaimer.
