Purpose
These standards apply to every guest-post and link-insertion request coordinated by ProPosting. Independent websites may apply stricter rules and retain final editorial approval.
Required content standards
- Original, useful and written for a real audience
- Accurate claims supported by reliable sources where appropriate
- Natural, non-deceptive anchors and relevant destination pages
- Respect for copyright, trademarks, privacy and confidentiality
- Clear disclosure where law or website policy requires it
- No malware, cloaking, hidden redirects, impersonation or manipulated reviews
Prohibited campaign categories
ProPosting will not knowingly accept work that promotes, facilitates or receives payment for:
- Illegal goods, services or activity
- Adult or sexually explicit content and services
- Gambling, casinos, lotteries, betting or games of chance
- Cannabis, marijuana, CBD or related products and services
- Cryptocurrency trading, mining, staking, token or get-rich-quick schemes
- Weapons, ammunition, controlled substances or unsafe pseudo-pharmaceuticals
- Counterfeit goods or intellectual-property infringement
- Hate, unlawful violence, exploitation, harassment or discrimination
- Debt relief, payday lending, unlicensed financial services or misleading investment claims
- Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, fake traffic, fake engagement, spam or deceptive testimonials
- Malware, phishing, hacking, identity falsification or document fraud
Destination review
The client destination must be live, secure, relevant and accurately describe the business or resource. We may request licences, ownership evidence, claim substantiation or other documentation. A changed destination may require a new review.
Editorial changes
A website operator may change a title, paragraph, anchor, link attribute, image, disclosure or publication date. Material changes that affect the commercial scope are communicated when reasonably possible.
Enforcement
We may decline, pause or cancel a request that fails these standards, presents unacceptable risk or conflicts with law, a payment-provider policy or an independent website’s rules.
